Tired of his grandson’s ‘pregnant grandpa’ comments, Dave took matters into his own hands.

This is his story:

I was fed up with being the “fat guy” with the “beer Belly”, especially as I don’t drink beer. When my grandson asked me if his new brother was coming from mommy’s stomach (she was 8 months pregnant at the time) or grandad’s, I’d had enough.

I did a load of research into the costs and potential side effects of liposuction, and decided that using Moviestar Makeovers was the most cost effective and procedurally safest way to go about it. Cost effective was easy, just look at the numbers. Though procedural safety was equally important to me, I was particularly impressed by the qualifications of the surgeon and the post-operative care offered by GG.

I went alone, as I can’t stand people around me trying to cheer me up when I’m not feeling well – man-flu or post-op. I will NOT feel on top of the world and prefer to bury myself in a good book until it’s over.

The GG staff in KL were terrific, they looked after me from go to whoa, and paid attention to every little detail. Dr. Jalil was excellent, we talked about what I was trying to achieve, and after a good discussion he suggested the tummy-tuck was a better option than liposuction; believing that you pay experts to get and use their advice I changed the requested procedure and have yet (4 months later) to regret it.

After the 2 week recovery period, I went on to visit Sri Lanka for 2 weeks as I had relatives there and needed a new wardrobe, which is much cheaper there than anywhere else I know, and then headed back to NZ. About a week after I got back I noticed some of the scabs on my wound were not healing, and had treatment for an infection; however, it is clear to me that this infection was NOT contracted in KL, and was most likely acquired during the 23 hour journey from Sri Lanka to NZ.

I would recommend this means of ‘feeling better about your physique’ to anyone, especially men who suffer the same challenge as I did. My self esteem is higher, my grandchildren love the fact that they get a closer cuddle from ‘thin grandad’, and my life has improved in more ways than I can count.
